What time do the pits open?

For most events, the pit gates will open at 3:00PM when the racing starts at 7:30PM, for Short Track Series the pits gates will open at 1:00PM, unless it is a Hoosier Great Plains Predator Series race, then the pit gates open at 11:00AM

What time do races start?

Weather permitting, racing will start at 7:30PM, this start time can vary slightly if the car counts are high, the track needs additional maintenance or conditions require the time to be adjusted. This applies to the main track or the short track where racing will start at 4:00PM unless it is a Predator Series race.

What kind of cars race at DCRP?

The classes of cars thar run at DCRP are…Sprint Cars, Midgets, Modifieds, Northern Sport Modifieds, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks, Mod Lights, and Antique Racers. Most classes are IMCA sanctioned however the schedule can vary from week to week. The Short Track Series classes are the same each week. They consist of Cart Classes, Rookie, Junior 1, Junior 2, Adult, and Open Outlaw 500. Mini-Sprint classes are Jr Sprint Novice, Jr Sprint Advanced, Micro 600 Restricted, Winged A, and Non-Winged A.

What are the price of tickets?

To keep DCRP affordable for families, tickets are $12.00 for adult general admission. Children 12 and younger are free.

Where can we buy tickets?

Currently, tickets can be purchased by calling our track office at 620-225-3277. If you are interested in advance tickets, they can be mailed out or held in Will Call and picked up on the day of the event.

Are spectators allowed in the pits?

Any non-participant is welcome to be in the pits. They would need to purchase a $30.00 pit pass and signing an insurance waiver. Parents can sign a special minor release waiver for their children to be in the pit area. There are no discounts for children and for safety reasons we encourage children to sit in the grandstands at no charge.

How much is a Pit Pass?

Pit passes are $30.00 for the main track events, and $20.00 for short track races. Minor competitors at DCRP short track events are $20.00 and minor non-competitor pit passes are $10.00. Attendees who purchase a grandstand seat and want to also enter the pit area can upgrade their ticket to a pit pass for an additional $18.00.

Is there reserved seating?

All seating is general admission.

Are handicapped seats available?

There is ample seating at Dodge City Raceway Park for ADA spectators. Seating is available close to the action, or up high in the grandstands. An elevator is available to transport spectators to the top deck of the grandstands for optimal viewing.

What type of foods do you have in concessions?

Concession staples are available. Burgers, cheeseburgers, quarter pound hot dogs, and popcorn are a few of the items, along with walking tacos, french fries, and nachos. Energy drinks, hydrating beverages and sodas are all Pepsi branded products.

Does DCRP allow people to bring their own coolers?

Since Dodge City Raceway Park has concessions and beer available for sale at the track, we do not allow attendees to bring coolers into the facility.

Can I smoke in the Grandstands?

While seated in the grandstands and to be courteous to fellow attendees, smoking is only allowed in designated areas. Compliance is appreciated.

Is alcohol available for purchase at DCRP?

Dodge City Raceway Park is supported by our fine beer distributors. Our designated beer stand offers a variety of ice-cold Coors Light, Budweiser or Modelo for sale at our events.

Is there overnight parking at the track?

Competitors can arrange with track management to park overnight. Camping is also available at an additional charge.

What if the event rains out?

Event tickets will be honored if event is rescheduled on rescheduled date, due to rain or other bad weather. There are no refunds.

How many classes of cars do you run on a race night?

Generally 5-6 classes are scheduled on a race night. Classes can vary between weeks, and special event dates have been created to host classes outside of the IMCA weekly classes.

Is motorcycle parking available?

Yes, motorcycles can park on paved surface to the left of the main ticket booth.

Can I bring my pet into the grandstands?

We love pets, but they are best left in the comfort of their own home, so all attendees can enjoy the show.

Do you have Senior Citizen discounts?

 At DCRP we do have discounted admissions for students, seniors and military.

Where can I find race results?

 Race results are posted immediately after the conclusion of the classes A-main, and competitors pass tech inspection. All class scoring and timing is hosted through the My Race Pass Application. Results are posted at and on the Dodge City Raceway Park website linked to the app.

Does DCRP have souvenirs?

 Souvenirs and apparel are available at the Official Dodge City Raceway Park Souvenir Stand. The new Dodge City Raceway logo hats, t-shirts and hoodies in many sizes and colors are available, along with special event shirts.

Is racing fuel available at the track?

Yes, racing fuel is available for purchase in the pit area on event days, through our parts vendor Briney Motorsports.

Are there parts and tires available at the track?

Briney Motorsports also provides miscellaneous parts, tear-offs and smaller parts in their vending trailer in the pits at DCRP.

Is there a camping at the track?

Event competitors can stay overnight in the pit area at DCRP. Water, electrical hook-ups and trash dumpster are available to overnight campers. Please be courteous and keep your area clean. Nearby electric only camping is available nearby at a minimal charge. Contact the track office 620-225-3277 for more information.

How do I register to race at Dodge City Raceway Park?

Each year competitors are encouraged to register online if they choose to race at Dodge City Raceway Park. Signing up early will expedite entry into the pits on opening night at DCRP. Registrations can be completed online at, or forms will be downloadable through the DCRP website.

Where do you do payout for drivers?

Competitor’s payout is available soon after the conclusion of the final classes’ A-main in the pit area concession stand. If drivers opt to not pick up their payout, it will be mailed to the address on file in a timely manner. It is important to register for competition at DCRP, if you want payout to be mailed.

Is there lodging nearby?

 As a historic destination, Dodge City hosts numerous accommodation options for any budget. DCRP encourages attendees to book their in-town stays at one of the area hotels. The hotels in turn support the raceway, as part of the Get into Dodge Tax Initiative.
