We are one week away from the first official race of the 2022 season at Dodge City Raceway Park. Many activities are going on at the track in preparation for the two-day Spring National. The surface has been turned and graded and looks to have some good moisture content, it should be fast. The corner banking has been brought down some to transition with the straightaway better. Many samples have been taken of area clay and some new may be added in the near future.

Thanks to Whelen Engineering partnering with CDR Promotions new LED caution lights should make all light changes more visible to drivers at high speeds and since there will be 6 to replace the 4 currently in place visiblity should be greatly enhanced.

New and larger speakers and sound system should aid in hearing the play-by-play over the roar of the engines under speed. The play-by-play should be more informative with Tanner Schmidt a veteran race caller in the press box along with Darren Glenn who helped to energize the crowd and was the prize give-away guy last season.
