Top drivers from all classes were celebrated for their efforts this year at the Dodge City Raceway Park awards banquet on Saturday night at the Lamplighter Ballroom.

Craig and Julie Dollansky, the driving force behind Craig Dollansky Racing Promotions, presented trophies and awards to competitors, and special recognition plaques to rookie drivers, most improved drivers, special people and sponsors.

Track Chaplin Brent Austin opened the banquet with a pre-meal prayer and short track competitor Isabella Holt sang our nation’s anthem. During dinner attendees enjoyed slides highlighting some racing action as well as fun that was had at the raceway this
summer. Those photos are available at (

Craig Dollansky opened the ceremony with a speech and information about CDR’s vision for Dodge City Raceway Park and thanked all the staff and supporters of CDR’s
efforts at the raceway.

“Dodge City is a very special place,” said Dollansky, “I’ve raced a lot of places all over the world and at the end of the day, I don’t take this for granted. This place was built as a top notch facility and we want to keep building momentum here.”

Craig also commented how it was difficult to transition from being a competitor to a full-time promoter, but that there is always family in racing. Many families were present for the banquet, and more than a few fathers raced at DCRP against their kids, or brought them to race in the short track series events.

“Our vision and hard work isn’t going to stop. This is our family now, we love what we’re doing here at DCRP and we want to be here for a long time,” Dollansky stated.
